Course description
Door supervisors are often the first point of contact between many businesses and members of the public. It is important therefore that they are effectively trained and meet legal requirements in what can be a challenging environment. The Highfield Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor Private Security Industry (Refresher) is for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements. Based on the SIA’s own specifications and updated (October 2024) to meet the latest requirements, it has been developed by Highfield, the leading awarding organisation for security qualifications and written by some of the country’s leading security experts.
Course content
Things that you will learn include;
- Principles of terror threat awareness
- Safeguarding the public from incidents of spiking
- Safe working practices and emergency procedures
- The application of physical intervention skills
- Searching people and property
Please be aware that you MUST have at least a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification that has at least 12 months left on it to be enrolled on the course. (First Aid certificates last usually 3 years)
